Began her journey as an employee working through various Cleaning Service Companies; while acquiring the skills and knowledge she then decided to form her own cleaning service (TMH Touch Enterprise) in 2011. For over 13 years Tawana has professionally serviced Banks, Churches, Commercial Office Buildings, Day Care Centers, Residential Homes-Apartments, and Police Stations. 

After that, Tawana grew tired. The will to service in the cleaning sector dwindled down, and Her passion changed. She knew she wanted to continue in service and helping others in need, so she had to transition in a new location to be of service Particularly women, and children. The desire was present, but her niche couldn't be found on which career path to take. 

After being settled in a new space (North Carolina) in 2018 where she could grow mentally, and spiritually Tawana decided to allow the Lord to use her in a way where she never saw herself. (The field of Christian Education). 

It started out with a need, and first aiding her children who are special needs, and making sure they had everything they needed to function in this world. She never imagined becoming an educator, but the Lord knew, so Tawana walked into this space of Service where she would be able to fill in as a Pre, and kindergarten substitute during the (2022-2023) school year while also servicing children from 6-12 years of age. 

As time passed she was encouraged to become a full time educator, and during this time while gaining the skills needed to flourish within her field she was awaken mid year (2024) with a vision and plan given by the Lord who instructed her to pursue her own educational institution where she would be able to service God's Children, so they can grow in academic excellence, and become warriors for Christ Kingdom.

Her beliefs; Tawana is a devout Seventh Day Adventist Christian. Horning one of the Lord's many commands the (4th) to remember the Sabbath day, To keep it Holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor the son, nor the daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor the cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made the Heaven and Earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the Seventh day: Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and Hallowed it. Exodus 20:8,9,10,11.

Worship from Friday sunset through Saturday sunset. This is the Day to Honor the Lord, and Rest from all of Worldly Works.

Founded in 2024, a private Christian Learning Resource Center began with a vision. Awakened by the Holy Spirit, a name was given unto Tawana (In His Service). She then decided to use this name to honor the Lord, by creating a Learning Center that would serve His children, and essentially build warriors for His kingdom. 

At IHS, our mission is to provide a nurturing  environment that empowers students to become confident, independent, and responsible leaders in a global society.

We believe that education is about more than just academic achievement. We are committed to helping our students develop strong character traits such as respect, responsibility, and resilience.
